Our Homes: A Safe and Comfortable Environment

Each of our homes is designed to be a welcoming, comfortable place for recovery. Our homes feature cozy furnishings, private rooms with televisions, and essential amenities like washer/dryer facilities and a fully equipped kitchen with ample space. Our open-door policy allows anyone to visit and see firsthand how our homes operate on a day-to-day basis, ensuring transparency and a welcoming atmosphere for all.

Living Responsibly at Charlotte Sober Living

Charlotte Sober Living provides a supportive, structured environment for people focused on rebuilding their lives in recovery. We are not a lockdown facility, but we do expect residents to follow clear guidelines. Everyone must stay sober, keep a job or attend school, and work on personal goals through classes, counseling, or other growth opportunities. Volunteering in the community is encouraged, and residents may attend religious services if they wish. Weekly fees are required to be paid on time—this ensures our home can cover its costs fairly for everyone.

Our program teaches financial responsibility and self-sufficiency because these skills are key to lasting success. When you join our community, you agree to follow house rules, stay sober, and pay your share of expenses. These commitments matter to everyone here. For example, if someone uses drugs or alcohol, it doesn’t just harm their own progress—it risks the safety and recovery of others. Similarly, if fees aren’t paid, the house struggles to pay bills, which creates stress for the whole group. We believe in fairness—no one should carry the burden for others who aren’t doing their part.

To protect our community, we have a strict no-tolerance policy for drugs, alcohol, fighting, or stealing. Success here depends on everyone taking responsibility. When each person sticks to their commitments, they build a stronger future for themselves and help create a stable, respectful home where everyone can heal and grow.

What’s Included in Your Program Fees

Our program is fully funded by resident fees. There are no external subsidies or financial support, so the operation of our homes depends entirely on timely payments from residents. These fees cover all household expenses, including rent, utilities, internet, cable, maintenance, repairs, landscaping, insurance, trash services, appliances, furniture, linens, cleaning supplies, and administrative costs.
